The 4th Lingnan Organic Chemistry Forum
The 4th Lingnan Organic Chemistry Forum was held in Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health,Chinese Acedemy of Sciences, on Nov.15th, 2014. This forum involved organic synthetic methodology, organometallic chemistry, total synthesis of natural products, pharmaceutical chemistry, computational chemistry, and organic materials chemistry.
Xinyuan Liu, associate professor from department of chemistry, South University of Science and Technology of China, gave us a wonderful report about radical trifluoromethylation-triggered unactivated alkene and remote C-H bond functionalization.
Yiqian Wan, professor from school of chemistry and chemical engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University, gave us a report about design and synthesis of PED9 inhibitors. Shijun Wen, associate research fellow of cancer center and school of pharmaceutical sciences, Sun Yat-Sen University, gave us a report about cyclization/cascade reaction involved diaryl hypervalent iodonium compounds.
